Attended by Melanie. This panel meets quarterly to discuss the concerns facing the local community around crime and anti-social behaviour, and sets the priorities the local police team will tackle. They also get involved in working with the police team and local partner agencies such as the council to find lasting solutions to these priorities.
The priorities remain burglary and youth anti social behaviour. Crime is expected to increase in the coming quarter (long dark evenings and Christmas). A couple of significant arrests in the last quarter has meant that moped crime and drug related anti social behaviour offences have reduced dramatically. The Box Park on the border of Addiscombe will be opening in the next few weeks.
